What is included in the tour?
The tour includes guided visits to some of Kilkenny's most renowned whiskey venues, tastings of premium Irish whiskeys, insights into Irish whiskey production, local history, and stories about Kilkenny's important role in Ireland's whiskey heritage. Kilkenny is closely associated with some of the earliest recorded references to distilling in Ireland. There will be fine food from some of Kilkenny's most exciting food producers along the way. You will also receive a brochure containing information on all the things you will be trying, a complementary bottle of water and a unique gift. Walking shoes are recommended, as the tour involves walking through Kilkenny's historic city centre and Medieval Mile. We also cater for private groups.
How long does the whiskey tour last?
A typical tour will last 2 to 3 hours.
Where does the tour start?
The tour starts in the grounds of the beautiful Kilkenny castle. Meeting at the gates of the Castle
Can I book a private tour?
Private tours can be booked but will be subject to availibility.
What is the minimum and maximum group size?
We have a maximum group size of ten to ensure a quality experience for each person attending.
Are stag and hen parties welcome?
What better way to prepare for your nuptials than to discover a new found love. So that is a yes.

Yes, depending on the group size the itinerary can be customised, contact us to discuss further
What is the minimum age to participate?
You will need to be at least 21, and may require ID in some circumstances
Can I drive after the tour?
Most definitely not, it is illegal in Ireland to drink and drive.
Do you provide transportation between venues?
As this is a walking tour, transportation will not be provided, but contact us if you have special requirements.
Do you offer corporate or team-building events?

Is the tour available year-round?
Yes, the tour is available whenever you are.
What happens if it rains?
Bring an umbrella, as there will be cosy fire lit pubs to be visited offering shelter from the storm.
Can I cancel or reschedule my booking?
Yes, we understand life sometimes gets in the way, contact us to reschedule or cancel. But we do ask you give us 24 hours notice, we are a small business and can not offer refunds after this period.
How many whiskeys will be sampled during the tour?
We will be sampling four epic Irish whiskeys along the tour
Is the tour suitable for whiskey beginners?
Yes, of course, the magic of Irish whiskey is available to beginners and whiskey connoisseurs alike.
Will there be an opportunity to purchase whiskey?
Yes, our tour will finish in Kilkenny's premier whiskey shop and bar.
