Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") carefully before using whiskkeytour.com (the "Website") or purchasing products or tour bookings from us. By placing an order or booking a tour, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Who We Are
WhisKKey Tour ("we", "us", "our") operates whiskey walking tours and tasting experiences in Kilkenny, Ireland, and sells related merchandise through this Website.

This Website and our services are operated from Ireland and are governed by Irish law.
2. Definitions
- "Goods" means physical products purchased through our Store.
- "Tour" or "Booking" means any whiskey tour, tasting experience, or related service booked through us.
- "Order" means a request to purchase Goods or a Tour Booking.
- "You" means the customer placing an Order or Booking.
3. Eligibility and Age Restriction
3.1 Our tours involve the tasting and consumption of alcohol. By booking a Tour, you confirm that you, and all members of your party, are 18 years of age or older. We reserve the right to request valid photo ID and to refuse service or entry to anyone unable to provide it.
3.2 We reserve the right to refuse to serve alcohol, or to remove any participant from a Tour without refund, if that person appears intoxicated, behaves in a manner that endangers themselves or others, or otherwise breaches venue rules.
3.3 The sale of alcohol-related Goods (if any) through our Store is subject to the same age restriction. By placing an Order for such Goods, you confirm you are 18 or older.
4. Tour Bookings
4.1 Booking Confirmation
A Tour Booking is only confirmed once you receive a confirmation email or message from us. We reserve the right to decline any booking request.
4.2 Pricing and Payment
Prices for Tours are as displayed on the Website at the time of booking, in euro (€) and inclusive of applicable Irish VAT unless stated otherwise. Full or partial payment may be required at the time of booking to secure your place.
4.3 Cancellations and Changes by You
- Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the scheduled Tour time are eligible for a full refund.
- Cancellations made within 24 hours of the Tour are non-refundable.
- No-shows are not eligible for a refund.
- Changes to booking dates or party size are subject to availability and must be requested by emailing info@whiskkeytour.com.
4.4 Cancellations by Us
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a Tour due to circumstances beyond our control (including but not limited to severe weather, venue unavailability, illness of guides, or insufficient bookings). If we cancel, you will be offered a full refund or an alternative date.
4.5 Conduct During the Tour
You agree to follow the reasonable instructions of your tour guide and to comply with the rules of any venue visited. We are not responsible for the policies, service standards, or actions of independent third-party venues included on the tour route.
4.6 Physical Participation
Our Tours involve walking through Kilkenny city, including outdoor terrain and uneven surfaces. It is your responsibility to assess your own fitness to participate and to inform us in advance of any mobility, health, or access requirements so we can advise whether the Tour is suitable.
5. Store — Goods, Orders, and Payment
5.1 Product Information
We make reasonable efforts to ensure that descriptions, images, and prices of Goods on the Website are accurate. Minor variations in appearance or packaging may occur.
5.2 Order Acceptance
Your order is an offer to buy Goods. We are not obliged to accept any order, and a contract is only formed once we send you a confirmation email. We may decline or cancel an order due to stock unavailability, pricing errors, or suspected fraud, in which case you will be refunded in full.
5.3 Pricing
All prices are listed in euro (€) and include Irish VAT where applicable, unless stated otherwise. Delivery charges are shown separately at checkout before you complete your order.
5.4 Payment
Payment is taken at the time of order via the payment methods offered at checkout. By submitting payment details, you confirm you are authorised to use the chosen payment method.
6. Delivery
6.1 We aim to dispatch Goods within 3–5 working days of order confirmation. Delivery timeframes provided are estimates and not guaranteed.
6.2 Risk in the Goods passes to you upon delivery. Title in the Goods passes once full payment has been received.
6.3 We currently deliver to Ireland and Northern Ireland / EU / USA, Canada, New Zealand, and Australia. If your delivery address falls outside our delivery area, your order may be cancelled and refunded.
6.4 If a delivery is delayed or lost in transit, please contact us at info@whiskkeytour.com and we will investigate with our courier.
7. Your Right to Cancel (Goods) — Irish & EU Consumer Law
In line with the Consumer Rights Act 2022 and the EU Consumer Rights Directive, if you are a consumer purchasing Goods online:
7.1 You have the right to cancel your order and receive a full refund within 14 days of receiving the Goods, without giving a reason (the "cooling-off period"), except where a statutory exemption applies (for example, perishable goods, or goods made to your specification).
7.2 To cancel, notify us in writing (by email to info@whiskkeytour.com) within the 14-day period. You must then return the Goods to us within 14 days of notifying us, in their original condition where possible.
7.3 You are responsible for the cost of returning the Goods unless they are faulty or not as described.
7.4 Refunds will be processed within 14 days of us receiving the returned Goods or evidence that they have been sent back, using the original payment method.
Note: This statutory cancellation right applies to Goods only. It does not generally apply to Tour Bookings for a specific date/time, which are instead governed by the cancellation policy in Section 4.3.
8. Faulty or Misdescribed Goods
8.1 Under the Consumer Rights Act 2022, Goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described. If Goods are faulty, damaged, or not as described, contact us at info@whiskkeytour.com with your order details and photos where possible.
8.2 Depending on the circumstances, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, price reduction, or refund. This is in addition to, and does not affect, your other statutory rights.
8.3 Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes your statutory rights as a consumer under Irish law.
9. Liability
9.1 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under Irish law.
9.2 Subject to Section 9.1, our total liability to you for any claim arising from a Tour Booking or Order is limited to the amount you paid for that Tour or Order.
9.3 We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, including loss of enjoyment, loss of earnings, or travel costs incurred in connection with a cancelled or rescheduled Tour, except where required by law.
9.4 We are not responsible for the acts, omissions, or standards of third-party venues, suppliers, or partners featured as part of the Tour, though we take reasonable care in selecting them.
10. Intellectual Property
All content on the Website, including text, images, logos, and the WhisKKey Tour name and branding, is owned by or licensed to us and may not be copied, reproduced, or used without our prior written consent.
11. Privacy and Data Protection
We process personal data (such as your name, contact details, and payment information) in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Irish Data Protection Act 2018. [Insert link to Privacy Policy.]
12. Complaints

13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services or legal requirements. The version in force at the time of your Order or Booking will apply.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections that may apply in your country of residence.
